The Motor Systems ToolA part of Task B is the development of the Motor Systems Tool. The tool is intended to assist engineers, machine builders, machine component suppliers, energy consultants and others working on optimizing machine systems to benefit from reduced electricity consumption.
The basic idea of the Motor Systems Tool is to build up an entire simplified motor system including:
The user puts in one known duty point (rpm, kW) and from this duty point all individual efficiencies are calculated respectively. Next step reveals changes in efficiencies when altering components, duty point or even motor connection. Everything is calculated dynamically - results are shown instantly.
The Motor Systems Tool also includes an algorithm for energy consumption, an algorithm for speed variation and a drive variant analysis which shows energy consumption at an unchanged duty point with an alternative drive connected.
The Motor Systems Tool is free of charge but we kindly ask you to register before download.
